12. What is history of Inspiration Ministries?
Inspiration Ministries is a North Carolina nonprofit organization headquartered and registered to conduct business in South Carolina. It is governed by a board of directors. David Cerullo is the chairman and CEO.
Founded in 1990, Inspiration Ministries is a family of ministries and networks dedicated to impacting people for Christ worldwide through media. Inspiration Ministries seeks to further several key objectives:
- To help see the knowledge of the glory of the Lord cover the earth, through media, like the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14);
- To help usher in a new era of evangelism and discipleship;
- To help bring new strength to the Body of Christ;
- To raise a righteous standard of high quality, Christ-centered, redemptive programming.
The Inspiration Ministries is the parent company to The Inspiration Networks, which are available in more than a billion homes worldwide through various TV and Internet distribution platforms. We are committed to using television and other forms of media to make a positive difference in people’s values, beliefs, behavior and relationship with God.

13. What are some of the ministry activities of Inspiration Ministries?
- “Inspiration Today,” our daily TV series hosted by David and Barbara Cerullo, communicates God’s encouragement, inspiration, and hope to a worldwide audience. The program features knowledgeable guests who address important topics of interest, and it often includes times of teaching, worship, and prayer.
- Think It Thru is a powerful original outreach to those from a Jewish background. Hosted by scholar and author Dr. Michael Brown, the program presents a balanced, humorous, and thought-provoking investigation of the history, interests, and viewpoints of Jewish people worldwide. While exploring the Biblical roots of the Jewish faith, Dr. Brown overcomes common objections to Christianity.
- A Muslim Journey to Hope features testimonies from former Muslims who have given their lives to Christ. The program’s website, www.muslimjourneytohope.com, offers resources in Arabic and English, with frequently asked questions about Christianity, video testimonies from former Muslims, and information on how to download a free copy of David Cerullo’s book, “The Angels in Heaven Rejoice,” in either English or Arabic.

15. Why did Inspiration Ministries decide to build the City of Light?
Inspiration Ministries has grown from one TV network to a family of networks and a family of ministries. Because of its growth, the ministry outgrew its facilities, and its staff was spread out in ten different buildings throughout Charlotte. As we explored our options, it became clear that the only way that we could accommodate this growth was to build our own campus. Our goal is to win Souls, and the City of Light will become a powerful launching pad for the Gospel, with the latest in technology available.

16. Is the City of Light completed yet?
No. We presently have two buildings, the Worldreach Headquarters for Evangelism and Discipleship and the International Prayer and Welcome Center.
When it’s completed, the City of Light also will include such things as an International Satellite Master Control and Distribution facility, a Tea House for our women’s ministry, a state-of-the-art entertainment pavilion for concerts and events, and an International Media Production and Ministry Training Center.

17. How long will it take for the remaining phases of the City of Light to be built?
We hope to have the entire facility completed within ten years.

18. What is the significance and meaning of the name “City of Light?”
The “City of Light” name is symbolic of both the campus and the mission and purpose of the ministry itself. Light is one of the central themes of Christianity and the message of the Gospel. In the first chapter of the Bible, God said, “Let there be light” (Genesis 1:3). Jesus also said, “I am the Light of the world” (John 8:12), and He told his disciples, “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14).”
While ministry is at the heart of what we do, we also do our best to operate on sound business principles. This combination of sound ministry and sound business practices has helped us grow to where we are today. The City of Light is not about land and buildings, but these are simply tools to help facilitate the mission of fulfilling the Great Commission. The City of Light is a place from which we will spread the light of the Gospel to people around the world through media.

19. How many people work at Inspiration Ministries?

20. What does Inspiration Ministries believe?
- We believe that both Old and New Testaments constitute the Divinely-Inspired Word of God, which is inerrant in the original manuscripts.
- We believe in one God existing eternally in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful humanity.
- We believe that the Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, comfort, and seal those who believe in Jesus Christ.
- We believe that man is totally depraved, in that of himself, he is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.
- We believe that salvation is the gift of God, that salvation is available to every person by grace, and that salvation is received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose atoning Blood was shed on the Cross for the forgiveness of sins.
- We believe in the water baptism of Believers, symbolizing the Believer’s union in the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper commemorating the sacrifice of our Savior for all mankind.
- We believe the life of the Believer is to be separated from the world by consistent conduct before God and man, and is to be in the world as a life-giving light and testimony.
- We believe in the personal, visible, and bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
