First Chronicles 4:9-10 records the prayer of a man named Jabez. We know little about him, except that he was an honorable man. Although people referred to him as Jabez—which meant “pain”—the Lord answered his earnest prayer: “Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.”
Do you want God’s protection today? Then cry out to the Lord like Jabez did. As we stand with you in prayer, identify your need and put it in the Lord’s strong and loving hands:
Father, we pray today for the needs of this child of Yours. Give them Your protection from harm and Your provision for living. As this Believer cries out to You, we ask You to give them security and abundance that they have never known before. Place Your hand of protection over their life and the lives of their loved ones. Keep them from harm, and shield them from pain. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
God Bless You!
