PROTECTION & PROVISION

Dear Friend:

We’re not promised a life of ease in this world. Yet God says He will always be there to protect and sustain us—no matter how severe the battles are that we face.

The apostle Paul faced many dangers as he sought to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world (see 2 Corinthians 11:23-28). But Paul learned to have an incredible security in the Lord’s ability to protect His children:

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?…Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:35-39).

Know this today: If you have given your heart to Christ, nothing—no matter how severe it may seem—can separate you from His love.

Lord Jesus, You told us that we will have trials in this world. Yet You said we should rejoice, realizing that You have overcome the world. Thank You that Your love can penetrate any dark days that we face. It can sustain us, even in the most difficult of situations. Thanks for always being with us, never leaving us or forsaking us. We trust You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You!
