Throughout the Bible, God shows His desire to set people free from bondage. Judges 6:8 declares, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘I brought you up from Egypt and brought you out of the house of bondage.’” If you feel like you’re still living in a “house of bondage” today, God wants to set you free!
But freedom is also a choice. God doesn’t impose it on us. And even after He has freed us from some habit or addiction, He challenges us to maintain our freedom: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage” (Galatians 5:1).
Are you standing in liberty today, or are you still bound by the chains of sin? Let’s pray together:
Heavenly Father, bring me out of the “house of bondage” where I’ve been living. Only You have the power to break the chains of my sinful habits. I cry out to You to set me free, so I can truly live for You. Teach me how to walk in the liberty You offer me in Christ. In His powerful name. Amen.
God Bless You!
