The Bible describes how David faced many dark days in his life. Yet he prayed, “Oh, Lord, You are my light; yes, Lord, You light up my darkness” (2 Samuel 22:29). That is our prayer for you today as well---that God would bring His light into every dark moment of your life.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this child of Yours who mourns the passing of one dear to their heart. Take their hand, Lord, and lead them to a place of comfort and healing. Be a Light in this time of mourning, a Lamp to guide them into Your perfect peace and rest. May their eyes be on You, the Lover of their soul. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
