Yet God is a powerful God…a God of healing and restoration. He wants to change hearts and bring children and parents back together. He not only wants to bless us, He also wants to bless our children and grandchildren.
Look at this powerful promise in Isaiah 60:4, speaking of God’s desire to bring straying children back home, even if they’ve drifted far away:
Lift up your eyes all around, and see:
They all gather together, they come to you;
Your sons shall come from afar,
And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
We pray today that God will intervene in the life of your child. May their heart be fully drawn to Him, and may He destroy any barriers or lies that have been sown by the enemy:
Heavenly Father, we thank You today that You understand the broken hearts that parents often have for their children. We pray that You will do as You’ve promised in Your Word, blessing our children and drawing them back to a loving relationship with us. Make our children aware of their need for You. As You draw their hearts to You, please give them a desire for a new beginning in their relationship with us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
