The air in Port au Prince is ripe with death. Flattened buildings have crushed countless lives. People are lining the streets, crying out for help. Desperation is in the air, and tensions are high.

Yet here in the midst of crises there is HOPE.

So far, we’ve been able to hand out 27,000 meals and pray for 2,250 men, women, and children who are battling hunger and hopelessness.

Within the next 30 days, we’ll install 2,300 more water purification systems in addition to the 1700 we’ve already provided. Right at this moment, the three largest water systems are providing 45,000 gallons of clean drinking water daily!

All nine distribution centers are up and functional but running low on supplies. Thankfully, more emergency containers have arrived, so we’re due to receive critically-needed items today, with over 20 tons of food, water, hygiene kits, and basic medical supplies going to various distribution centers.

Our humanitarian partners here in Haiti are awesome! Even with all the craziness in the middle of the night––guns shots in the distance, people yelling, dogs barking, babies sobbing, the wounded moaning––they are tirelessly at work as they prepare to minister to the needy with vital, life-saving supplies, spiritual comfort, and Jesus’ love.

You are extending the love of Christ in practical, tangible ways.

As the sun rises this morning, we are 90 minutes outside of Port-au-Prince in the remote village of Orangers serving food to 200 families, who live a six-hour walk from the nearest major roadway.

The pastor of the church here tells me that we are the first relief effort they have seen since the earthquake. They have no electricity or running water, but today they are heating a hot meal because of YOU.

We're exhausted, grimy, and sweating out each pore.... but so thankful. I wish you could be here with me in person. You would be so blessed and encouraged to witness firsthand how you are serving as the Light of Christ to the people of Haiti as we share His compassion, love, and hope with them in practical and powerful ways.

As I stand here in the dust of Haiti handing out meals, I feel overwhelmed with gratitude for David and Barbara, our ministry staff, and our global Inspiration Partners. Working alongside our humanitarian partners here on the ground, I am thrilled to be an eye witness to what we are doing as we care for the least and the Lost.
