    19. What are the ministry activities of Inspiration Ministries?

Our daily television series, “Inspiration Today,” ministers to families, seeking to strengthen, equip, encourage, and inspire the body of Christ. Inspiration today features wonderful guests that address important topics of interest to people and we also have times of teaching, worship, and prayer. The program, hosted by David and Barbara Cerullo, can be seen on INSP, i-Lifetv, INI, as well as on other stations and networks throughout the world.

Reflecting a longstanding burden to provide an alternative for kids, the Ministry’s Discovery Jones Expeditions outreach includes a daily television program, web site (djtvclub.com), and a club that has been joined by more than 60,000 kids in more than 60 nations.

In 2002, the ministry launched “Steelroots,” a ministry to young people, under the leadership of Ben Cerullo. Steelroots seeks to minister to the younger generation and reveal God’s Truth to them,” reaching tens of thousands of people every week. In addition to the television series, Steelroots also has an aggressive web site, sponsors events and concerts, and produces DVDs, CDs and other monthly ministry tools for youth leaders.

Ben recently launched Ben Cerullo Ministries, as he branches to speak and minister to audiences worldwide. This ministry includes a web site, TV programs and specials, books and materials, and other resources. Ben has been named by a leading Christian magazine one of the top 30 Youth Leaders in America today.

“Everyday Woman” seeks to inspire and encourage women and help them through the issues they deal with on a daily basis. Under the direction of Barbara Cerullo and daughter, Becky, Everyday Woman includes a web site, and other outreaches.

Think It Thru is an outreach to our Jewish Friends, hosted by scholar and author Dr. Michael Brown. Dr. Brown presents a balanced, humorous, and thought-provoking investigation of the history, interests, and viewpoints of Jewish people worldwide. Shot on location from temples, street corners, coffee shops, and delicatessens in his native New York, “Think It Thru” cultivates compelling discussions and interesting facts about subjects ranging from pop culture to ancient history. While exploring the Biblical roots of the Jewish faith, Dr. Brown overcomes common objections to Christianity.

A Muslim Journey to Hope is an outreach to Muslims. This is not a “preaching” program, but rather features testimonies from former Muslims who have the opportunity to share their experiences. Also available is a website (www.muslimjourneytohope.com), offering resources in Arabic and English, with frequently asked questions about Christianity, video testimonies from former Muslims, and information on how to download a free copy of David Cerullo’s book, “The Angels in Heaven Rejoice,” in either English or Arabic.

Other ministries and networks are being planned that will be housed on the new campus. We have laid the groundwork for growth, and have an expanding vision. More new programs, networks and ministries will be announced in the years to come.

    22. Why did Inspiration Ministries decide to build the City of Light?

Inspiration Ministries has grown from one network to a family of networks, and a family of ministries. Because of its growth, the Ministry had outgrown its facilities with staff spread throughout ten different buildings throughout Charlotte. Production takes place in two different facilities. At the same time, a paradigm shift is taking place in technology and we need a next generation facility. As we explored our options, it became clear that the only way that we could accommodate this growth was to build our own campus. Our goal is outreach and this new facility will allow us to do that much more effectively. The City of Light will equip us with the resources to fulfill our opportunities and make it possible to impact more lives for Christ.

The first building to be finished is the Worldreach Center, which will provide offices for our diverse staff. This will be occupied beginning in February 2008. The second building will be the World Prayer Center (and prayer gardens), scheduled to open in late 2008. This will foster an environment for spiritual renewal and intercession.

When it is completed, the City of Light also will include a Visitor’s and Welcome Center, an International Satellite Master Control and Distribution facility, a Tea House for our women’s ministry, a Youth Evangelism Center (developed in conjunction with our “Steelroots” ministry), and a Children’s Evangelism Center (developed in conjunction with our “Discovery Jones” children’s ministry), a state-of-the-art entertainment pavilion for concerts and events, an International Media Production and Ministry Training Center.

    23. How long will it take for the City of Light to be built?

    24. What is the significance and meaning of the name, “City of Light?”

Light is one of the central themes of Christianity. In the first chapter of the Bible, God said, “Let there be light” (Genesis 1:3). Jesus also said, “I am the Light of the world” (John 8:12). And He told his disciples, “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14).” The “City of Light” name is symbolic of both the campus, the ministry itself and its mission and purpose. “Light” is a central message of the Gospel and the ministry of The Inspiration Networks. While ministry is at the heart of what we do, we also do our best to operate on sound business principles. This combination of sound ministry and sound business practices has helped us grow to where we are today. The City of Light is not about land and buildings, these are simply tools to help facilitate the mission. The City of Light will be a place from which we will both spread and speed the light of the Gospel to people around the world through media.

    25. How many people work at Inspiration Ministries?

Currently, there are approximately 375 employees. The City of Light is being designed to accommodate up to 1,500 employees.

    26. What does Inspiration Ministries believe?

We believe that both Old and New Testaments constitute the Divinely-Inspired Word of God, which is inerrant in the originals.

We believe in one God existing eternally in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.

We believe that the Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, comfort, and seal those who believe in Jesus Christ.

We believe that man is totally depraved, in that of himself, he is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.

We believe that salvation is the gift of God, that salvation is available to every person by grace, and that salvation is received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose atoning Blood was shed on the Cross for the forgiveness of sins.

We believe in the water baptism of Believers, symbolizing the Believer’s union in the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper commemorating the sacrifice of our Savior for all mankind.

We believe the life of the Believer is to be separated from the world by consistent conduct before God and man, and is to be in the world as a life-giving light.

We believe in the personal, visible, and bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

    27. Is Inspiration Ministries a church or affiliated with any church or denominations?

Inspiration Ministries is not a church or affiliate with any denomination. In fact, the Ministry seeks to meet the diverse needs of the faith based community, working with people and organizations from many different denominations. Our networks carry programs from more than twenty different denominations and faith groups. We are a spiritual conduit for more than 100 different ministries, enabling them to reach beyond the walls of their churches or ministries with the message God has given them.

The ministry also is committed to racial equality, aggressively seeks to serve the African-American market through television programs and outreaches. The ministry also created its own Spanish-language network to serve the Hispanic market.

    28. Where is production done for the Ministry?

The ministry owns MediaComm, a wholly-owned for-profit subsidiary, which provides complete tele-production services, and is one of the most advanced facilities in the Southeast U.S. Clients include a “who’s who” in the region.

MediaComm employs more than 100 broadcast professionals (in addition to freelancers). The facility houses seven studios, linear and non-linear editing suites, Master Control, audio sweetening, music composition and broadcast design. The diversity of the projects completed and clients served demonstrates the high quality of the staffing, and the flexibility of the facility. MediaComm also provides 3D animation, teleport, closed captioning, satellite media tours, satellite interviews, production of commercials and master control capabilities. MediaComm created its own “creative entity,” Snap5, a design boutique that offers creative concepts, broadcast design, audio design and non-linear services.

MediaComm enables Inspiration Ministries to operate more effectively and efficiently, helps generate revenue, and enables the ministry to stay competitive in the rapidly changing world of media and production.
