Questions can race through our minds: What will we do today? What will we face tomorrow? And what will happen in the world? Yes, the realities of daily life can consume our thoughts, emotions, and energies. We can be overcome with anxiety or fear, worry or doubt, stress or tension.
But everything changes when we see the world from God's perspective--when we realize that many of our problems result from our limited understanding. Yes, we are enmeshed in the realm of time, but God is different! He is beyond time!
In fact, the Bible tells us that His works actually are finished! And they weren't finished yesterday or just a short time ago. They "were finished from the foundation of the world."
If we grasp this truth, we have no reason to fear or worry. Instead, we can trust in God...absolutely! In every situation. We can always have faith in Him. If we have needs or questions, we can seek Him for the answers.
This is a key to keeping our lives in perspective and finding success. We can be freed from our burdens, and experience His peace and joy. We can focus on serving Him and completing the work for which He has called us, instead of getting caught up in the pressures and burdens of the world.
Right now, stop and spend a moment thinking about God. Commit everything in your life to Him. Rather than focusing on your life, your problems, or the world, remember that His work is complete.
Don't let problems and burdens weigh you down. Enter His rest. Trust in Him. Let Him remove your fears and worries. He will give you His peace!
